Great.
With my FFA they explained everything treatment price etc and what to expect. Explained my options with the dead follicles that hair won't grow back.
Which I understood. But the products and the treatment was great. My hair started responding to the treatment.
6months after the treatment it's still looking good and growing. But you've got to follow the advice given.

No Results obtained!
I purchased advance laser treatment from Advance Laser Hair Studio in South Africa Randburg.
The "specialist" informed me I would happy with the results and in person stated I could see up to 80% or more re-growth however via email no guarantee was given. I informed the specialist that the cost is a lot for me to afford, but instead of taking that into account the sale was more important even though the actual results are not guaranteed.
When I had no results after more than 6 months using the product as stated, I was not happy I paid a lot of money and had no improvement in my hair loss. I requested a refund but was given a one sentence response after a couple emails stated "No refund on this".
Thanks Advance Hair Studio for taking my money knowing the result is not guaranteed but stating and influencing me by saying "This is an investment in you" I could have used that money for alternative items that would really been an investment in me.

I am really angry. Spent 5 months wasting my time on laser treatment for a receding hairline, that does not work.
Tried to address my concern month 4 and today. Management makes no effert to stick to their gaurantees.
No response for 2 months...then delay!
We went to the studio on the 22nd of March. It's now 23 May and not one person has gotten back to us.
My husband had to call and ask when he will be receiving his hair. And now they tell me due to it being stuck in Customs we will only get it on the 13th of July. You are all about image and keeping things at a high standard but you can't even keep the customer informed after giving them R15000! I spoke to a Lady who was very helpful but I find it hard to believe in the stuck in Customs story as I deal with customs a lot!
And to top it all we have to wait 4 months!

My experience with AHS Centurion
I started with advanced laser treatment therapy at the start of 2015 with the manager of the Advanced Hair Studio Centurion, Dean. Dean seemed professional enough and showed me pictures on his wall, ensuring me that my hair would look like that (picture) after the 6 month (28 session) process.
He took pictures of my head (from all angles) for the 'before' shot, so that we can compare the pictures with the 'after' pictures taken when the process was completed. He took a hair sample because in his words: "they will use my DNA to make a one of a kind formula (Monoxodil?) to best suit my specific DNA. Dean also gave me a piece of paper containing instructions of how to use the shampoo, tablets, thickening serum and Monoxodil (5%) on a daily basis. After about a month and a couple of times not seeing Dean to discuss my process and progress, I was informed that Dean has left the company.
The interim manager (I think his name was Deon) did not have a clue what was going on (I only say this, because he never could answer any of my questions with confidence or certainty). When I asked him when we will take the next set of pictures to show my progress and build my profile, he used his cheap no-name phone and ensured me that the pictures will be loaded onto the system where records are kept on each patient, current and past. When I received my next Monoxodil, it had the name Paul Kireakos (spelling?) on the bottle, when I inquired about this, the staff said that it does not matter and that we use the same product (after that, I had several different names written on my Monoxodil, never my own), I felt lied to and cheated. After another couple of weeks, a third manager started (3 manager in the span of 3 months).
Ashley was professional enough at first and I saw that he knew what he was doing. He again took pictures of my head and gave me a set of instructions on how to use the products, PROBLEM; these instructions was totally different from what I got from Dean more than 2 months ago. Of course I felt that I have wasted my time because we were almost halfway through the six months and I have been doing it wrong all the time. Ashley assured me that this is not the case and that I should just start doing it as the new instructions read.
When I asked Ashley if I could see the pictures from the start to see if there has been any progress, they could not produce anything. The next couple of month went by without any major incidents. When we approached the end of my sessions, Ashley did another exam of my head. When asked about how it looked, he said that he is still not happy with the level of DHT on my head and that we should extend my program with another 10 weeks (50 minutes once a week).
I complied. Just more that halfway through these 10 weeks, Ashley starting making 'jokes' during every sessions saying things like: "so, this is your last session". When I corrected him by saying that I had another 4 or 5 sessions left, he just laughed it away and said he was kidding. This went on every session to follow.
At the end, I did not even want to go anymore, as I felt very unwelcome. Finally, after reaching the end of my program, Ashley did another exam. He said that he is not satisfied and that I should consider strand by strand or another 6 moths of laser therapy. As I did not consider strand by strand as an option at the time, I asked what another 6 months worth of laser therapy would set me back.
He said because I was an existing client, I would get a SPECIAL rate... He basically quoted me the exact amount which I paid the firsts time around. Needless to say I never went back again and my hair is still getting less and thinner by the day. I live in Mpumalanga and have to drive 150km (1 way) to Centurion.
Taking into account the cost of the fuel, toll gates and wear and tear on my vehicle, this is the most expensive mistake I have ever and will ever make. I can guarantee you that AHS will not have 2 pictures of my scalp, taken on separate dates to compare to one another.
This is your chance. Proof me wrong.

Advance Hair Studio Centurion - Money Makers
I am a young man at the age of 23 years currently. I had seen an advert on TV about Advance Hair Studio in the year +-2012. As a result I felt that this was my only chance of restoring my hair. Seeing that there was no charges for consultation I decided to might as well take the try.
Upon arrival I was fed with the most hopeful and dreamlike talks - Which I somehow believed. I was advised to proceed with the "Laser Therapy" saying that I was too young to use any other treatment.
As time went I kept inquiring as I could not see any difference - I was actually loosing more hair then before! My consultant, Dean, kept on saying that give it time as my condition was apparently different.
I paid a lump sum amount in the start of R10 000.00 and from that time there was no signs of receiving that money back.
Don't ever waste your Money and Time by going to one of these places.

Laser Treatment not showing the results promised by AHS
I have been using the hand held laser supplied by AHS and I have been using their expensive products for more than a year now and have not seen the results. To be honest, I do not see any improvement which is frustrating because the AHS programme is very expensive.
One sees all the advertising and promises made by AHS and I would just like to know how can we make these promises come true.
I would just like to know how long it takes to see the results when one uses the hand held laser? During my first consultation the statement was made that after 6 months one will see the results but it has now been 17 months and I am not impressed.

i have been on laser for 8 months and no results to show ,do waste your time,just shave your head.
No response on hair piece
I had paid the company R10 000 in December for my hair piece. Before major events 3 months passed and still no response to come in i constantly call but no reply after i was promised 3 month's and less time.
AHS is really a scam needs to be stopped. I am currently figuring out legal action

I visited Advanced Hair Studio from the period of 2003 to 2010. I never regrew my lost hair; only my existing hair got thicker.
What a waste of time and finances. Please be aware, they are not reputable with no guaranteed results.

Visited the SA Branch at Century City on 16/04/24 and was very impressed with the honesty and efficiency of the consultant Shaun. He conducted an in depth assessment of my female hair loss problem
The consultant Shaun was thorough in his examination of my scalp and offered honest advice w.r.t. my hair loss and suggested products and treatment conducive to this distressing prob; he did not force me to purchase any expensive treatment or products and was extremely patient and compassionate as he reviewed my case.
I was impressed and will go back for more of their proven to work hair loss and hair care products. A very professional establishment indeed

Worst service in south Africa.
The worst service I have ever encountered in south Africa. I ordered a new product April 2021.
They promised me it would be here no longer than 6 months. It is now end of July 2022.
I still have still not received the product ordered. It's paid in full yet no product.

I had eczema as a child and my hair fell out due to this. Most of my hair has grown back but there a still a few spots taking longer to grow.i decided after many years to visit the advanced hair studio. Based in Durban ,Morningside, a dingy little spot with hardly any signage.During my consult I asked if there was a toilet so I could cover my hair and I was told ,with arrogance that there was a mirror behind me.i was then told that I have alopecia..what nonsense .I really felt so low after leaving the consult .I have never been so undermined and belittled.i emailed them directly to complain about this and to date have no response.dont waste your time and hard earned money.They need to have some empathy towards their client and not just ramble on.i really hope and.pray that something can be done to eliminate this,as many people are going to have their feelings and bank accounts damaged.

Good day,
I began my journey with Advanced Hair Studio at suite 1/4, 3rd floor centurion gate business park, akkerboom street, centurion, Gauteng ,0171 in December of 2019. I was treated with dignity and courteousness and looked forward to my appointments.
Disaster struck this year when a new manager was appointed. She is loud, not inclined with the procedures has lack of dignity and absolutely no respect making my visits there uncomfortable, over and above her behaviour of total unprofessionalism has had me flabbergasted

EXTREMELY POOR SERVICE
I have been assisted by Advance Hair Studio Randburg South Africa for the past 5 years.
Should I want to order a new hair piece, I am required to pay in advance which I never have a problem with.
From August 2017, my technician had to send my new hairpiece back (WITHOUT ME SEEING IT) as it was so thin and according to her not up to standard.
End 2017 my hair piece arrived and looked beautiful but in 3 months it was so thin I could not wear it any more.
Keeping in mind that I know how to care for my hair as this is not
a cheap round at all.
According to Randburg SA it was sent back in March 2018.
In the meantime I am walking around with a hairpiece so old I
can hardly manage, keeping in mind that I am totally bold.
EVERYTIME I phone the manager I am told I will only receive it back from Australia in October 2018 - a years battling !!!
If I ordered a brand new hairpiece and paid for it, I am sure I would have received it months ago.
I AM DESPERATE !!!!!!

Oh how I wish I'd done my homework before I parted with R23 000 of my hard earned cash! I should have smelt a rat when I was told You still have live hair follicles but you must act NOW!
(this was established by glancing at my head from across a table). Followed by a few pressured emails. And YES you can claim on Medical Aid (rubbish) and YES we guarantee results (couldnt be bothered to challenge them on it). Once I had parted with my money, a few arbitary photos were taken of my scalp and then for the ENTIRE year of treatment NOT ONE single person looked at my head.
EVER. I followed the instructions to the letter and had very little if any hair re-growth (I relied on my hairdresser to monitor this for me). I do not know how these people have managed to stay in business as long as they have.
Do NOT fall for their sales pitch - it does not work. Alison
